An important highlight of my journey as a software engineer was securing 1st place in the Innovative Creative Circle (ICC) Competition, hosted by the Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development (MEITD) Sarawak in 2024. Competing against prominent organizations such as CENTEXS, the Sarawak Biodiversity Centre, the Sarawak Research and Development Council (SRDC), CRAUN Research Sdn Bhd, and MEITD itself, this achievement reflects our commitment to developing transformative solutions.
I developed Support247, a system designed to enable staff at Sarawak Skills to report breakdown issues efficiently. The system not only improved response times by tracking the technical team’s KPIs but also replaced traditional reporting methods prone to lost records. By digitizing the process, we significantly increased reporting rates across all campuses, boosted work productivity, and provided valuable statistics to enhance infrastructure and prevent recurring problems.
This success was the result of incredible teamwork within GoTechTive from Sarawak Skills. My team members contributed immensely by preparing detailed documentation and collaboratively identifying effective solutions to complex challenges. Their dedication and support played a pivotal role in our victory.
Winning this prestigious award for the second consecutive year demonstrates my ability to develop impactful systems that address practical challenges, improve productivity, and drive innovation within organizations.
